The collective Minerva, women creators of Gràcia, is a meeting point for women creators linked to the district of Gràcia and a loudspeaker for female talent and women’s cultural creation for the community and the artistic environment of the city. Its main objective is to promote the artistic and cultural creation of women, empowering them from the territory and with a gender perspective.
It could be said that, broadly speaking, this project was divided into three large blocks:
Accompanying the women creators of the collective
Mainly, our role was closely linked to accompanying and stimulating the implementation of the processes for the self-management of the women’s collective, providing different work guidelines and tools for the optimisation of resources.
Communication of the collective’s activities and philosophy
In this case, the most appropriate communication strategy was designed for the collective, with the main objective of achieving maximum impact and disseminating the values, culture and practice of the Minerva collective. In the execution of this section we worked with the:
- Creation of a communication plan and a style guide for the collective.
- Creation of the new website: minervadonescreadoresdegracia.cat.
- Writing and design of the communicative materials for the activities of the collective: exhibitions and routes.
- Creation of a communication campaign on social networks to raise awareness of the women in the group.
- Design of the logo and application of the brand in all dissemination materials (flyers, bookmarks, cards…).
- Establishment of collaboration networks for advertising and media promotion.
Cultural management and public relations
Finally, one of the most important aspects in this accompaniment of women creators is all the support in terms of cultural management to organise both guided tours and collective exhibitions. In this case, our task was based on activating relations with cultural spaces and making the creations and works of the women creators visible in them.
